I really prefer laminated artwork to painted on. painted on tends to add a thickness to the finish that wigs me out.

Lastly. I need to build myself a Warmoth Telecaster And Warmoth Iceman before I make a Warmoth Explorer.

Whats funny is even though I'm planning to start practicing a right handed guitar, I'd still make a Warmoth Explorer. all the Gibsoniphone ones look like crap.

I'm a much bigger fan of warmoths shape.

I Dunno, I just like solid colors on a Telecaster. feels wrong to make a classic body style have a wild finish. and... Its not like any guitar is the last guitar...

I'm starting practice on a cheap little right handed acoustic guitar. I'm going to give myself a few months (6ish) to try and acclimate to that.

So I have time to decide. (Also, time to save up for nicer PARTS!)

I imagine the Iceman will be. If I can convert to Righthandism... that Blacktop Tele will satisfy a lot of my Tele desires.

I KNOW I will build the Iceman. I LOVE the Iceman body. but I'd really like a neck thats playable. and a finish thats not black or white.

May I ask why? Just curious as to what your answer is going to be. I don't dislike Floyds as a tremolo but I can't stand ones that float. Total pain in the ass.

And the only reason for the "'61" in the title is because a friend of mine has a '61 Strat in a very similar color and I'm in love with it. I have no idea if the parts I chose have anything even remotely related to a '61 Fender....hence "modern"
