Jason Lollar High Wind Imperial Humbucker

I purchased a Lollar High Wind Imperial Humbucker to put in my 2nd W build which is currently in transit  :toothy10:

I already have  Lollar Blackface single coils and to be honest I think Jason is simply a tone and pickup genius. I was wondering though if anyone here has used the HW Imperial humbucker and especially in the bridge (my build will be HSS). The sound clip form the site was amazing and I also spoke to very guy who recorded it (Greg Timmons). He especially recommended that pickup and uses it himself on his Tele.

not i.  i don't recall anyone mentioning Lollars that didn't sound good though.  Much like Roadhouse & Bare Knuckle in that regards.  Good company to be in, I'd reckon.

Imperials are outstanding. I first tried them in a friend's ES-335 and found them to be the best humbuckers I've every played.  Excellent articulation with sweet top end that I found missing in most humbuckers. I now have Imperials (standard wind) in 2 guitars, P90s in another (low wind neck) and Firebird neck in my Firebird. They're not cheap but are the best pickups I have played.

From the sound files and youtube vides, they souns amazing, however I havent been able to find anyone I know who actually used them.

I did purchase them going on what info I had plus the fact Jason is simply a pickup and tone genius (at least in my view). The high wind one should have fatter mids which I like very much.
