You're really going to use this body?? :toothy12: This is AWESOME!

Have you glued the parts where it cracked or going to go really barbarian way?

Barbarian; going to use the body pretty much as is, might have to pound a couple of nails through here and there....

Reliced!!!  :icon_biggrin:

Absolutely no finish at all on the body, other than the existing remnants of previous finishing experiments...

That was pretty much the only good part in that movie, sadly.

Any updates on the build?

While the movie didn't rank in my top ten or anything, it DID inspire me to finally start learning to play, which led to putting a Warmoth together, which led me here.

Having problems getting that maple neck to take dye? Just use UNDILUTED universal dye concentrate! Why stop at the back, did the whole damn thing!

As can be seen from 1st pic below, there's some cracking all the way through the wood at the front of the tremolo route. Nothing a couple of black sheetrock screws can't fix! Now that it's stable, we can mount the bridge!

Body is finished and wired up, will be next weekend before that neck's done, have to let all that dye dry out thoroughly and put some top finish on it.

I am beginning to think we need to have categories for this contest... :laughing7:

Hadn't really thought of that till you mentioned it, I may need to wrap some tape around it to hold it together, anyway.....
