thanks for all the replies! i'm thinking a nice ebony board would really set this thing off. not normally a big fan of black hardware, but RU36 might be on to something with that...
anyway, i had an old Charvette (Charvel's version of Squier) neck laying around that i had forgotten about. i call these the "Real Mockups" :icon_biggrin:
first, the picture as it was in all it's random-color goodness
then with a black headstock
and green headstock (accidentally put a line through the body when i was painting things and didn't notice :doh: )
i'm still thinking a KWS headstock for the time being. and i'm really not a fan of reverse headstocks, but the george lynch ESP kamikaze guitars are starting to change my mind on that... the only guitar i ever owned with a reverse headstock was an ibanez and i absolutely hated it. felt so wrong with the tuning pegs on the bottom instead of the top. any idea if having the headstock one way or the other would affect neck dive? seems like a reverse would dive more, but maybe not. it's still going to be the same weight whether the tuners are above or below the headstock
