I found myself near this place today, and having heard some nice things about their selection, took a look. I went to their warehouse, and grabbed a price list, hoping to find a nice chunk of western maple. Then I saw their Exotic hardwoods listing, and was directed to that aisle...
It was a wonderland.
Folks, the stock of wood they had their was *A*M*A*Z*I*N*G*. I saw a 2x6x48" plank of zebrawood that had absolutely dizzying grain patterns, a small mountain of sapele, boundless bunbinga, and enough padouk planks to build one heck of a dining room set. There were plenty of wide pieces, too - more than enough to build a 1 piece body. Let me put it this way: they had as many racks & piles of exotic hardwood as the average Home Depot or Lowes has of treated wood planks.
After seeing the selection, 90% decided on cutting my own body of bubinga or purpleheart, or maybe even wenge. Going back later with a camera & a measuring tape...
