Is it possible to get a 12-string Carved Top Soloist?

The one bridge that Warmoth offers for 12 string, is primarily for a flat top solid body. That's the only one they offer factory routings for too.

I doubt that Warmoth could offer that for a carved top body, unless they can somehow recess it flatly onto the carved top. Best call them to double check, but I haven't seen that bridge on a carved top body.

What's the most common stringing when primarily playing rythm on a 12-string? Drones on topp or bottom?

The most common setup is to have the octave strings on top.  However, Rickenbacker does it the other way (octave strings on the bottom).  This arguably contributes more to the classic Rick/12 sound than the actual guitar.

I've been listening to some Rickenbacker clips on Youtube. It sounds great with the octave strings on the bottom.

I've played them strung both ways and honestly I didn't notice much of a difference.  With alternate picking you hear it both ways anyway.

Or can't they do the string-through routing on these tops?
You could do a 12 string soloist, just have it set up for stop tail, and get a 12 string stop tail bridge.

The top of the carve is pretty flat and may indeed support a flatmount bridge. Call your friendly Warmoth rep for confirmation. Be prepared for him to say the body would be non-returnable with such a bridge rout.
