I concur. The neck would have to go.  I don't know about DIY with the quilt there too unless he did that finish himself or got really brave and hacked on a finished headstock.

I like that one all around. The diamonds look nice, I might try that. I no good with volume knobs that close to the strings though. Wonder what the reserve is.

i didn't realize how ugly the headstock was from the back, it just looked a little awkward but from the front yuck!  :tard:
maybe some slight trimming in a couple spots and had he used a lighter color it would look ok but not good. the trans blue on that shape is beyond ugly!

I was curious so I emailed him. He said Warmoth cut it, he just designed it.

It's not that bad.  I can think of way worse shapes for the headstock.  The body is lovely though.
