Why am I so simple? I've been listening and watching a lot of Jerry Reed lately and have decided that I need a Telecaster. With my winter bonus coming up in December it's going to be difficult fighting this.

+1 on the Jerry Reed.  I picked up a few CDs when he died, he is an amazing talent.

Oh yeah, and +1 an the tele too!  You definitely need one in your arsenal.

Nonsense, dude, I don't think that will work this time. I just spent 2 grand on a Martin acoustic 2 months ago and promised her no guitar purchases for a while. I think my idea of what a "while" means and her definition may differ. hehehehe!!

JaySwear and Dwight, thanks a lot, guys. I really appreciate the compliments on my previous builds. I hope, if I do move forward with a Tele build, that I can live up to the standards that have been set with my Strats.

True enough. It's funny you should say that, and I know you're just kidding around, but I was actually sitting here yesterday wondering if I ordered a Tele body would Warmoth cut controls like a Strat instead of the standard Tele configuration. Rear route, VTT. I'd have my tape option then. hehehe!!!

This happened to me as well. I'm a die hard strat guy, but after getting into country players for the last little while & listening to guys like Scotty Anderson, Albert Lee, Brent Mason etc, I broke down last week, gave Spike a call & put in an order for a a tele. It will be a tele, but with a lot of extra bells & whistle that would make a strat guy happy.
