I don't know what's more impressive,... car or driver!!!

i was about to post that one! they show a ton more in the full youtube video than they showed on Fantasy Factory.

I smashed the hell out of a brand-spanking new Mustang about 100 years ago trying to do a stunt turn like he does in there. Damn thing didn't have enough engine. Couldn't break the rear wheels loose on demand. It was a wimpy rental, and I was used to my '70 Monte Carlo, which had lotsa engine and was terribly front-heavy. Plus, I was too drunk to know any better. Me and a buddy had hit just about every titty bar in Indianapolis, and were about to start over and hit them all again. That necessitated a quick and ill-advised turn-around. Ended up having to walk back to the hotel, and all Avis had to ask in the morning was "Do you need another car, sir?" Here I am, 19 years old and thinking somebody was going to toss me in prison for abject stupidity, and they're offering to give me yet another new car to have my way with.

Silly humans.

i might be getting a new vehicle in the next couple days. i wonder if this is how i should see my old Lumina out... hmm..

I want, I want, I want, I want THAT Fiesta!! That is the perfect vehicle for getting to work in the early morning along the F3....... :evil4:

I'm not usually interested in "autosports", but wow that guy can drive.

And so, enlighten me -- what is that massive metal lever he kept yanking on? Is that some sort of emergency brake???

I gotta say - that's way more car than I could handle.

And yea, that big handle is the emergency break.

What I want to know is, was it back firing, or was that the rev limiter kicking in?

half rev limiter half anti lag device. on decel it create a random misfire so raw fuel enters the exhaust it's sometimes ignighted by an auxiluary sparkplug and serves to keep the turbo spinning to get power on demand out of the turns.

i love the scene with the segway, that guy has some serious balls! reminds me of my '79 monte carlo (i replaced the weak 267 with a junkyard 350), and the fun i had in highschool. and my dads hyundai which actually could do a good controled 4 wheel drift, i just needed speed to do it as the car had no balls.

i must say that guy can drive! no way my former childish antics can compare to that!  and kids if your dad tells you to drive carefully show him this video and tell him you are practicing, you're gonna be a big hit on you tube some day! and if he yells tell him at least your not doing/selling drugs like (insert name) down the street!

but seriously stick ot guitar. cars take up too much space. you cant collect as many of them.

My Eclipse has anti-lag and what it does is richen up the mixture while retarding the timing to induce backfiring in the exhaust manifold which helps keep the turbo spooled. Mine activates at a stop when the clutch is pressed in while at full throttle so I can launch with boost, and also between my "no lift to shift" shifts. My DSMLink is set to pull the engine back to a preset rpm drop between those no lift to shifts so it goes right into the next gear easily and smoothly, once the clutch is released it's back to full power.

Also... that is the sound of an engine that gets rebuilt almost daily.

And I would bet there are about 3 tire changes in that 7 minute video.

not counting the two rims he destroys at the end!

God... from a Mechanical, a Sport and even an ARTISTIC view, that video was something to see.

I hope people appreciate the time, money and skill dozens of people have to put in to pull something like that off!

Death by Uberschall: I watched your freaky icon and missed the video as it played.  That's one scary icon.  :laughing8:
