...... this is my first post here, so hello fella's, i'm new to the guitar building thing, but thought i'd give it a go as i tend to be a creative soul, and i really like guitars, so why not right ??? ....... we just got the last coat of clear on it, it should be sanded and polished very soon, Greg suggested i join here due to the fact i was searching for custom neckplates, which i think i've found exactly what i was looking for ....... hope you guys like what i've done so far, it is a Mahogany Strat Body, with a Maple neck, rosewood fretboard and Torres Blues Kaster PickUps and wiring with CTS pots ....... i am open to any advise on the components and setup, it is not finished yet, i'm shooting for a heavy/fat tone, blues sound with good sustain, quite the opposite from the standard strat, from what i've seen ...... anyone here familiar with the TorresEngineering stuff ???? .......

........ that was the first thing i did, DR6 is really what brought me hear, lol ...... i really dont wanna' look to stupid around you guys, lol ..... i think i found a pic of some "Floyd-Rose" picks ups, they have a smooth-middle bar instead of the round shapes ?? Yes ?? .......

......... well apparently the backside is a little more busy, lol, but the painter wont let me see it until it's finished, ha, imagine that ...... but thank you, i thought about what to do with it for a really long time, i basically put a hotrod and a guitar together, lol ......... it was the best thing i could think of at the time .....  :-\

....... thanks, so no Floyd ?? mine is routed for a hardtail, i didn't think that Floyd deal would work would it ??? ........ i'm trying to keep all the components as heavy as i can to add weight ........ i've been told that will fatten' the tone some ..... the body is a tank with it being Mahogany ........ so i'm off to a heavy start  :blob7:

The Floyd thing is a running inside joke around here and there are just many hardtail fanatics too.  But, this is your guitar and we get the most enjoyment out of seeing what everybody's dream builds are.
