How often does the Showcase get a refresh? And is there a "pattern"?

How does it work?
When to look?
Is there a pattern to what items on the showcase get added or is it completely random?

E.g. I want to buy 2 necks with these criteria:
-1-piece Maple (can be either plane Jane, Birdseye or Flame - the figure and grain just has to appeal to me)
-vintage truss rod
-'59 roundback
-9.5" straight radius
-1 11/16" nut width.

Right now (and it has been like that for weeks) there's only one neck available - but I don't like the grain of this one at all.

I could just order one to be custom built, but there are no guarantees (I emailed with a rep) and apparently, they have no control over grain patterns etc. - you know, like handpick a neck blank that will have a certain kind of figure for me. I was told it is completely random.

So... just wait, and check night & day I guess, right?

If the grain is that important to you then yeah, you just have to wait it out. There's not any particular day when necks with a particular kind of flame go up. You're going to be in for a long wait, especially if you're set on it being a 1-piece neck. Warmoth uses most of it's nicer looking pieces for Warmoth Pro construction, it seems. Don't expect many '59 Roundback Strat or Tele necks to crop up often either, especially with a 9.5" radius.

Get an RSS reader and subscribe. You'll see the necks & bodies that were posted - some of them don't make it very long and you'd never see them otherwise!
