How many coats of Tung Oil did you put on your body?

On day/coat 2 of Tung Oil for my Black Korina/Rosewood Top strat.  It's looking great so far! Like the title says, I was just wondering how many coats you folks put on your bodies? I'm assuming wood types play a big role.

The more coats, the shinier (as a rule - properly applied).

The answer depends on the kind of sheen you are going for.  As mentioned, more = shinier.  Less will maintain a more natural appearance with enhanced grain.

Just out of curiosity, how long does tung oil take to cure?

A couple hours to the touch, a day or two to really harden. Longer if it's really humid or chilly.
