Why shield the control plate?

Looks cool and all, but is the die really going to work well? On my tele, the switch tip already gets really close to the knob.

Love the guitar looks great!!

I find on my G&L ASAT i can hardly get my pinky behind the switch tip and the volume,
that dice does it get in the way or have you mounted it higher or something?

Poos and giggles mostly...I had some spare tape when I was done, so I figured why not!

The dice would probably get in the way if I switched pickups mid-song, but I've never been the type to do that, so it's not an issue for me.  It comes very close to the volume knob, but again I don't play with that stuff mid-tune so it doesn't bug me.  Love it!

The Rockfields are making me happy so far!  Especially the combined sound of the neck and bridge.  It might just be my untrained ears, but they work really well!  I'll do up some stuff in Audacity and see if I can post it up.

And...I can't believe I'm saying this...but...

It would look cool with a floyd.

Sweet guitar.  :icon_thumright:

The only thing I never liked about the Tele controls is that the volume knob is just too damn close to the switch. That's why I went with the rear route option and the strat 3-way location.

You should put the black metal pup ring on the neck pup to match the bridge. Still awesome though.

It is close, but a Strat switch tip provides a little more room than the barrel style Tele tip.  I forgot the outfit, but somebody sell blanks and switch only plates so you can drill the holes whereever you want, or add a few.
