Hello to everybody,

I believe to have read on this forum, Warmoth is so kind to let something to be sent in (for the customer) and they would further it to the customer.
Did I get that wrong?

Because I am now told by Paul (who helped me put together my build) that it is not possible. They just do that with stuffs you order from them.

Hmm, now thinking I still need some PU's (HB's), I am not so sure if I will get them from anywhere in the USA then, since I would have to pay shipping twice.

Anyone maybe having an idea about it?

Ciao  JULIA

Paul's reponse is correct.  Given the volume of production and inventory flowing through the building, it is best to limit the amount of customer owned merchandise around.  It becomes a great big liability issue.

The only exception is when a customer is sending Warmoth studs to install in a body or for a custom bridge rout.

Hey Wyliee,

I was just wondering, except for the HB's I ordered everything from Warmoth, the package is to be sent to Germany.
2 HB's sent to join my  Order #, I thought couldn't be such a huge problem, or you guys could maybe make an exception to the rule?

Bye JULIA

Ya know, I didn't have to send you guys studs for my Floyd. You provided them and pressed them in for a $15.00 up-charge.  'Seems strange to me that you would now require the customer to mail them to you.

That is for other bridges, other than the Floyd they sell.

Sometimes customers will already have studs for a bridge and don't want to buy another set.  (ie. they bought a bridge elsewhere, spare parts, etc....)  So they will send their studs in.

Hello Ilmstratocaster,

I didn't want W. to install the PU's in my build, I just wanted to spare the extra shipping cost to Germany.
Meaning PU's from -for example: Roadhouse- sent to W., they put them in one of my packages and send them to Germany, that's all.

We all want to save as much as possible when it comes to the shipping of anything from anywhere  :toothy11::
…. BUT

NO ….  they won't do that, neither will anywhere else. Never heard of it being done before.
(Gee….@julia, if you know somewhere that does, please do tell)  :dontknow:

YES …. you can add Pickups etc SOLD by Warmoth to your order # thats being processed.
(or any other bits that you forget)
I have many a time  :icon_biggrin:

Hey Updown,

well, I have read here on the forum and talked to Ken from Roadhouse PU's. He said he recalls like having done that once.
But no problem, probably I'll get some PU's over here then..... so I don't have to pay taxes, customs and fees extra. Haven't figured out though, which ones yet....

Bye  JULIA

When I worked there, the only exception is if Warmoth was doing a custom (Upcharge) route on pickups sent to them, ala Norstrands...or for hardward ala OFR 7...

Those were all approved/disapproved on an individual basis.  I wouldn't imagine it would be any different now.
