Guyker Hardware. What’s the consensus?

I’ve gone many years using components from a handful of tried and true manufacturers and never heard of Guyker, now their ads are showing up on loads of sites.

Does anyone have experience with them over a reasonable period of time?

Are they good?

Are they just a generic Amazon equivalent?

Never heard of them either. I will say that the website has a far-east vibe, mostly due to the non-use of proper plurality in product descriptions.

My gut tells me it's a Chinese re-brand shop. A 'fabless' manufacturer, if you will.

Its medium grade hardware like you find on medium level instruments. Its better than Squire Affinity but something like you find on many indo made guitars. Just sold direct to you where it wasnt available before.

I kept seeing them when I was looking at tuners, they have a lot of cool color combination locking tuners that don't look bad, but I just like to stick to Gotoh or Schaller. Seems nobody carries them other than amazon or you can buy direct.

I have some experience with their tuners pickup rings and a tremolo. I think the quality is higher than what has been stated above. I have been happy and would buy more.

I saw the multi color tuners too and bought (direct) a purple/blue set to replace a set of black chrome Schallers M6s on my Purple Waze build. They shipped from China. The Chinese shipping company changes to USPS when it hits our shore. USPS does not deliver where I live and since my PayPal address does not include my PO Box number, when they arrived, the Post Office is lazy and will not look it up. They simply return to sender. So I get the notification and contact Guyker through email. Good customer service, got a quick reply. Said they will resend as soon as they get the return (back to China I assume). Each week I would query them (same gal on email). No return yet. Went on for 2 months. Finally had my CC take over and got a refund.

Then I found 2 sets in stock at a music store in Australia. Ordered both. Asked how they ship and they change to USPS too. So included PO Box number this time. They are well made and would use them again if I wanted colors. Otherwise I use Schaller M6s.

BTW-Most of their stuff can be ordered directly from the ZON and delivered fast.

Hm. Just this morning, I ordered a set of open frame clover-leaf bass tuners to install on a cheapo Squier Affinity that belongs to my son's school. Here's hoping they are at least half as good as the reviews I read of them. They're unlikely to be worse than the broken ones I am replacing, in any event.

Awful. Ordered some expensive tuning pegs from them. The material was nice, but the pegs were uneven in size and way too big for your average headstock. You couldn't turn them without them bumping into each other.

If you leave a bad review, they change product descriptions based on the review to try to make it seem like there was no deception/misinformation. So if you do buy something from them, then make sure to take a screenshot of the product description and details beforehand.

I have direct experience with two sets of locking tuners, metal humbucker pickup rings, a "Duesenberg" knock off tremelo, and a tunomatic style roller bridge. They all fit well, perform well, and look good. You can order most of it from Amazon. I have no affiliation or anything.

Bought a set of knobs from them, exceptionally nice quality! Haven't seen anything else from them but the knobs made a very positive impression...
