Just curious, what guitar cases and gig bags do y'all use? I think I'm done with hard cases. Deciding between a reunion blues expedition or gator icon, not a mono fan personally. For my acoustic, it came with the taylor aerocase and it's been incredible!

The Road Runner Highway Premium is a great gig bag. Good hard sides, very protective, has a neck support with velcro strap. Probably as protective as a HSC.

I use a sturdy bass gigbag for transport of any of my guitars to gigs which was given to me by my local guitar shop (God bless parkway music!); I have / have had hardshell cases of various types (wood or abs) made by gator, skb, or tkl on behalf of other companies like ibanez, for when the gits are either not on a stand or hanging on the wall. Main thing is they have a home, when not on the wall or at the gig.

In order to promote peace and harmony in my house, I keep the number of guitars down to seven.

Gig bags for me, but I don't go anywhere other than my local microbrewery for the occasional jam sessions or for practicing in my hotel room when I travel for conferences (driving only; I'm not taking instruments for conferences I fly to).

As a tangent, the Boss Katana:Go has been a tremendous bonus for hotel-room jamming.

I've flown to asia and europe with regular abs cases and bags like the GoPro, and I've always been able to gate check them. Never had a problem, lucky I guess. Now I don't fly with a git, I just make sure there's one where I land, or go without. Too much anxiety that I would put up with 25 years ago. If no guitar, I read a book. I gotta look into that Katana:Go

Now adays I don't like carrying a ton of weight. Got the guitar in a gigbag and it's strapped to my back, the amp weighs less than 25 lbs, that's in one hand, and in my shoulder bag is the rest of the wires, extra strings, nail file, emergency mic ... no pedals. So I can walk and carry everything in one go. Though now adays I use the wireless thingies the Aaron suggested. that's the basics.

Old school hard shell cases for me. About 25 years ago Ameritage (still in business) put their $400 gold series cases on sale for $99. After it arrived, I was so impressed, I bought 3 more. Anytime a guitar leaves the house it is in one of these cases. Lots of internal storage and stands up on its side very well.
