Guitar Body Showcase?

Watch this.  3 guys, same guitar, similar but different tones (and volumes).  It's in the fingers.
Yes indeed, and it's mostly in the right hand through picking style/attack and string muting.

There you go then.  You could have that exact guitar and not get that tone.

I love how , at the end of the golmore strat video, they say "it sounds like a strat". Didnt it sound like a strat before the mods? :dontknow:

Let me rephrase, I want the same or similar sound.

And what's with all the negativity around here? A guy comes here and comments that he's a bit leery of buying a chambered body and gets a real bad case of the cold shoulder get lost we don't really want you here commentary... great place, or start, or whatever ... c'ya

Well, I think what you're seeing is a reaction to preconceived notions without any sort of reasonable or empirical data to back it up.  You're talking about a forum full of people who push the limits of guitar building.  Is there some snobbery?  Yes.  It's worth it though, since we all have our moments of laughing at each other's pigheadedness.  Stick around and enjoy the community for what it is if you want.  There's some amazing stuff that comes out of these forums (in spite of the people posting here!) .

p.s. That video totally highlights how much tone is affected by the person playing the guitar.

I don't think we're being negative at all - just that you've entered a zone where most of the guys have spent a long time messing around with guitar parts and construction and there is some agreement (more or less) around some broad principles based on real experience. There are a number of small pro custom builders who frequent here too, this is not harmony central is what I'm saying. You don't seem to be very receptive to the advice you're getting, but guys are trying to be helpful and steer you right.
The video you posted is just a nice typical vintage strat sound, not something rare or unusual. Most of us have one or five strats that can sound like that, hollow or solid, whatever. People answered your questions but maybe you didn't get the answers you were expecting?

I thought we were being very constructive.  Especially in saying that you can get a $4,000 guitar equivalent for a 1/4 the price.  Nobody was pushing a chambered body on the OP.  People offered input that had chambered guitars.  Nitro finishes entered the mix, and I posted a link by people with experience.

Here's another link of a Gilmour-esque Strat with all Warmoth neck, body, and pickguard.
