Hi folks,

I'm in the process of converting one of my telecasters to a baritone.  Anyone have the skinny on a gig bag that would fit a baritone guitar?

Thanks!
Trevor

Er yea.  Tried that with the 12 string.  Didn't like it - too much empty bag at the top.

It really is the best workaround.
I got a tweed bass case through GFS for my Bari-Tele, and just cut some water noodles to fill the space on the body between the lower cutaway and the center compartment, as well as the upper horn and the center compartment.  Keeps the body from shifting.

Perhaps one for Short scale basses.  It might be worth checking it out for dimensions.

Water noodles is an outstanding solution. I'll definitely use some of those for my Telerauder and anything else odd-sized in the future. :icon_thumright:

Water noodles! What a great idea.  I can see cutting them to shape, putting on some sticky spray, wrapping them with felt, and velcroing them into a case.  Excellent.

As to baritone gigbags, maybe the best thing is to wait until you've made it, then measure it, then order a bunch of bags at guitar center, then go to to guitar center with the git, try them out and keep the one that works.  I did that once.  It was kind of weird but it worked.

Water noodles are cheap at Dollar Tree this time of year too!
