gecko 6 string spacing

hello

i ve be thinking of getting a gecko 6 , the only thing stoping me is the string spacing (16.5MM) man... that seams close compare to 18 on other basses (i'm use to a musicman sterling....) so slapping a gecko the goal

am i over zelous obout this??

That would be entirely up to you and the way you play.  Slapping on a 6 does take a bit more technique to play cleanly.  Once you've built your bass, be sure to schedule some practice time!
