I want one of these old Silvertones...I had one years ago similar to this but traded it....

I want.  That tailpiece is cool looking.
Yip, I want one bad....But they're few and far between, and costly if you can find one...That one sold for $2200.....And I agree, it's got one of the coolest tailpieces I've seen....

I've gotten a lot of comments already about my naked body errr about the unfinished body I got from Warmoth. There's a little gem with nice figure and a bit more orange than S4228 did, but it's not hollow (which was one of my must haves) Check out  S4283

Silver Metalflake is at the top of a list of Warmoth paint colors I am actually considering for my iceman.

Red Flake, candy Purple and Bright Red are also on that list...

to be fair, it has 3 pots and a toggle because its got a Piezo...
Well, didn't consider it... But still, you don't SEE the Piezo, do you?  :laughing8: So it still looks weird for me.
I would rather have my iceman satin black with vintage copper(Schaller) hardware and uncovered pickups. White Korina neck with either some dark rosewood or ebony...
yeh... :guitarplayer2:

I don't want to pay $245  for a finish thats on half the guitars at GC though,

And I really wanted the Copper Schaller stuff, for a long time. but Schaller made it too much work to find so I gave up!

If I could get it(at a reasonable price in a reasonable time frame.), No Doubt I would do that, on a Black Korina body, with a Wenge or BK neck. ebony fretboard.

if I do go Silver Flake, I think I'll chrome the heck out of it.

otherwise. black hardware, color matched Bobbins.

Looks to me like Fred Gretsch shouldn't have allowed his daughter to go out on that date Paul Stanley's son.  :laughing7:

Every time I see one of those, it makes me think of Buck Owens and the song "Act Naturally" comes into my mind...
