Do not like, and it doesn't make think of Buck owens at all.  A may look like B, and B may look like C, but A looks nothing like C.

I don't like it, and didn't like the last one like it, either. But, there's no accounting for taste, and Warmoth clearly has an international market that looks at things differently, so you have to consider that. It's certainly a fine piece of work; you can't fault that. We have objective ways of determining material and build quality. But, as far as its attractive qualities, those are subjective. Takes polls, experience, and marketing weenies to know whether something intrinsically butt-ugly will actually be desirable with the right demographic <grin>

i don't like it, but i'm all for experimenting with new finishing options. even the strange "one off" ones that you'll likely never see again. at least they're keeping an open mind over at the W

epiphone casino! i did a search and they have a ton of pictures but not as many for sale. i'm sure you could find one around somewhere though

I love the artcores, but something about the body dimensions on the 335-style Ibanezes just doesn't work for me. It seems like the lower half of the body is just ever so slightly out of proportion, being a bit too large. like, there's the bridge.. and then the body just keeps going way too far. but some of the higher end models look, sound, and play incredibly so i'd probably jump on one if it was a good deal. I just think the Epiphones or a real 335 look more aesthetically well balanced

I really wish I could play one before buying it.

I toyed with a righty Dot. that thing was a blast.

I have a righty dot (in natural) and it is a blast - a very nice guitar for the price.

Just make sure you like the PU's, as switching them out on one of those is quite a bit trickier than other guitars.

I never thought I'd say this, but I'm GASing for a Tele

Not sure if I've seen a Tele Custom in person before, but watching The Distillers play at a concert from Reading (unknown year) has made me seriously think about putting one like that together, except with an exotic neck.
It's not even that special... and I don't like teles!

I never really cared for Teles before spending the last year on this board. But, when you get right down to it, there's nothing really wrong with them that a decent bridge wouldn't fix.

I love the Deluxe, but I'd have to go with something other than the Ginormous CBS headstock.....I hate them...

I couldn't do one of those CBS headstocks, either. It's just way out of proportion, like Barbara Streisand's nose, Julia Robert's mouth, David Caruso's ego, or Dolly Parton's watchamacallits <grin>

I really did not get into teles till I played one on stage. At that point I realized that walls of distortion were for wimps, that you just needed enough distortion to get down and nasty, and let the guitar do the rest of the talking, and nothing does that as good as a tele. They are just RAW, the are made raw, they have a raw sound, and they pull it off like the axe you always wanted.
I love my strat, I love my PRS, but I pull out the tele and get down.
Even during the Hair metal days, I had a Japanese made tele with a Floyd Rose and 2 humbuckers. I mean, they just rock.

Sarah Jessica Parkers old nose...

the CBS headstock is giant and ugly, but i couldn't see a tele deluxe without it! it would just be wrong...

actually, i have seen tele deluxe's without that headstock. and it does just look wrong :icon_biggrin: i debated on whether or not i wanted one for my tele deluxe, but i love the look. the tele deluxe already has the out of proportion pickguard as well, i think the headstock really fits
