This is pretty sweet too if you like the Warmoth Explorer body (click pic for link)

Not sure why they are recommending a Warmoth Pro '65 Twelve String Guitar Neck to go with it though  :icon_scratch: (click pic for link)

Whoa, 12-string Explorer?  Bet that's never been done before.  Not sure whether it calls for a  :sign13: or a

Love both of those Cracked Popper.. that explorer body is a beauty. I don't know about the 12 neck for it though.. but I think it might be a  :sign13: as Jalane said.

What would be wrong with a twelve-string 'Splorer?

You could buy a piece of pau ferro veneer and glue it on the headstock to get things all matchy-matchy, assemble it, and whammo, you could play your Byrds tunes a la Metallica.

The idea of a 12-string Explorer is pretty neat, but that headstock and that body go together about as well as...well as two things that just don't go together very well. Hey-ooo.

is there even such a thing as a 12 string tune-o-matic bridge? i didn't think there was... which is one good reason why that neck would definitely be strange with that body!

The Gibson doubleneck 6/12 made famous by Jimmy Page and John McLaughlin appears to have a tune-o-matic with two slots per saddle, forcing the owner to "split the difference" on intonation.  Not optimal, but it's there.

Here's a photo:

Bagman is correct, there are tons of suppliers of a 12 str. tom...Ebay is one of them.... :icon_biggrin:

so there are! very cool. but that headstock would still be all kinds of awful with that body i think. then again i don't know if there is a good body style for that headstock...

You are correct, there isn't and it should be outlawed... :icon_biggrin:
