Meh, I've seen woodier.

also, its got this weird Mottling on it. someone is going to have to paint that a thick, solid color to hide that whole mess.

:evil4:

Theres something about that mottling that would make me as far as colour only do translucent again, if not clear, funnyi  know but i like the wierd mottling

Augh!

*hands money*

to be fair, I couldn't tell Walnut from Alder when I joined this forum. I think I'm progressing well.  :toothy11:

i know this isn't a Warmoth showcase body, but it's the fact that i could build this w/ Warmoth that makes me want it so bad.

Too bad its top routed though.....

why is that bad? you dont actually have to put the pickguard on a warmoth tele, just get a pickup ring. the control plate doesn't cover that much wood and a little chrome would look good on that body

True, but if there isn't a pickguard, there will be a gap between the fretboard and the body, and I'm not too fond of that.

Wouldn't you have that same gap if the body was rear-routed?

720 Mod? Unless the showcase items that are rear-routed can't have 720 Mods.

I had the wrong impression of what a 720 mod was, but having looked it up I now realize that yes, that would work. However, you can't get the 720 mod on showcase bodies, regardless of how they're routed.
