GAS Alert!!!!

It's nice, but if you wanna see some wild examples, go to Google images. Entire pieces of furniture, walls, floors, etc.

LOL, well to elaborate, it wasn't a jab at anyone here. Just most "artists" don't have regular jobs, so they have the time to make pieces as such.... :icon_biggrin:

I think I may have found what my first Warmoth guitar maybe...

Mary Kaye White, satin. Burnished Goncalo Alves One-Piece neck. Gold hardware. Single humbucker in the bridge. 1V 1T 3-Way switch...

I think I'm in love.

Came here to post that. Make it a hardtail and remove the jack entirely, and I'll take 3 or 4. I'm not kidding. I'll literally buy 3 or 4 of them. I'd be paying for that one right now if they hadn't completely ruined it had the wisdom to give it a vibrato and a top jack.

Top routed strat body & side jack will NOT happen in the showcase unless it's a return, I realized that years ago. Fender is doing it this way and Warmoth is following. For any non Fender appointments the customer has to make a custom order. For some reason (sales I'm guessing) some things never change. Like a tele body and contoured heel. They assume anyone who wants a contoured heel wants to make it like a strat. Every tele body with a contoured heel in the showcase has also a tummy cut and a forearm contour  :dontknow:

Warmoth has the luxury of a detailed sales history that they can use to help predict future sales. If they produced a lotta hardtail Strats or relieved Tele bodies on spec, it's likely they'd sit on the shelf for a long time having consumed valuable capital assets because they wouldn't be "replacement" parts, they'd be custom parts. For as big as the custom parts market is, I'll bet it's tiny compared to the replacement parts market.

Guitar players are a strange breed in that they're highly creative at the same time they fiercely defend traditional designs and mythology. They'd rather suffer all sorts of hardships than change anything. Never mind if the guitar won't tune worth a damn or stay in tune if it will, a Strat is a Strat is a Strat. Don't change a thing, or they'll never be able to play like Hendrix. To be fair, you don't whip out an airbrush if you wanna paint like Rembrandt.

HOT CREDIT CARD!!!

OOH! HOT! HOT! HOT!

Totally would if I was allowed a credit card and I actually had a job to pay for it afterwards  :laughing7:

Get a part time job Axkoa, you could probably save for it quite quickly and get something extra to put on your CV when you leave Uni.

That's exactly what I'm trying to do  :laughing7:

Normally, I'm a big fan of binding. But, for some reason it strikes me wrong on that body.
