I really do have a long-term vision of getting my hands on one of those heavily striped goncalo alves necks for a build, shaft and fretboard, with no inlays.  That stuff's amazing.
 
I have a really strong bias against single cutaway bodies but the velocity tugs at me anyway.  Especially this one (despite looking like the Alien monster)

That's a good question. I can't see a thing wrong with it. Quite attractive, really. Short scale, but that's ok. Preferred, actually, for me. Have to finish it, but that's not the end of the world.
 
I suspect items like that may be the result of a "no spinsters" policy. Just guessing.
