Oh heck no don't spin it - he gnome wants to be right side up. Here he is with nothing but some blur and unsharp mask applied: (all operations applied to the entire image). I saw it first without my glasses and it just jumped out before I could even identify the wood species. Faces are not uncommon in some of the finer examples of crazy grain that has been well bookmatched. But I don't think I've seen but one or two other examples this macro scale - it occupies almost the entire frame.

At one point, a no inlay neck was a custom option that made a neck non returnable for other than defect reasons.
