Yeah, that thing could look seriously cool with the a good finish!!  Definitely unique for maple I think.
 
GAS was about to drop off page 2. So here's a lovely BK Whopper  with an almost quartersawn look to it, plus some calico striping.

I've sworn off looking at the Warmoth site for at least a week! Maybe two if I find the self control... Getting ready to buy a body for my new neck, know exactly which one I want right now. But no payday for another two weeks! Killing me. If its still there in two weeks then its on! If not then I'm back to square one.

Arg the GAS.
 
What keeps me from ordering is knowing I haven't finished the first one. Works well so far.
 
Well, now that its been posted I guess I'll say... That purple to clear burst is the one I want! Love it. With black pickup rings and the  maple neck with the ebony fretboard I have? That thing would be sweet.

I can picture that looking mighty fine, too. Ebony matches anything and doesn't get in the way, the Maple showing on the headstock would set off the center of the body, the purple fades to a nice dark edge, and that's an insanely figured top.

Yeah. You have to buy that. Just do it. You know you want to. The bills will still be there next month, but the body might not <grin>
 
The black rings look mighty fine on Quty Pie (which, I humbly suggest, is the guitar that gave rise to the rash of purple-to-clear burst guitar bodies in the showcase over the last 8 months).

A flame maple board would be awesome too.  :icon_thumright:
 
I only just noticed that W' are doing chambered Jazzmasters now and they've updated them to use the fancy body builder. Goodbye, all my money.
