GAS Alert!!!!

Do those knob holes look like they're in different-than-normal spots?

I ask because W won't do that for me.

White binding on an alder body (both sides!) with a 3 tone burst. No fancy top, just plain Alder. Nitro from Tonar of course. 59 Roundback tele neck with a Rosewood finger board, 7.25" radius. Stainless Steel 6115 or 6230 frets, Schaller tuners, white Corian nut. Lindy Fralin tele pickups, a white pickguard. Callaham 3-saddle telecaster bridge, standard control plate. Drool.

No pictures... yet. I'm thinking I will pull the trigger soon enough, though! Expect updates within a few months ish (for the Tonar finish at least.)

That was the second thing I noticed.  It looks like all the knobs are moved down a bit and are at a more shallow angle.  That is the only thing I don't like about a strat.  The position of the volume knob.  I'm always hitting it with my pinky and turning the volume down.  I just switched to a high torque knob and that fixed it.

Here is a very (basic) mockup of the tele I am GASing for. Definitely gotta pull the trigger.

Nothing special, but damn does it look good.

You can get the Tom Delonge volume mod, which pushes it closer to the pup selector.

I love the stock position of the strat volume.  The tele pup selector on the other hand is perpetually in bridge selection 'cause anywhere else will get knocked right back.

Love it, but go with natural masked binding over cream IMO.

I like natural masked, but I want the cream for a more vintage feel and look. I'll do one with Natural Masked some day.

Yesss! I'll go with your suggestions, Tonar. I don't know a lot about tele's. I was thinking Lindy Fralin pickups, or Bare Knuckle.

Loving the positive feedback. It's going to be my main guitar for my funk/reggae-influenced tunes with my new band. Once I build it, that is.... The more rock tunes will be the strat, still. Super excited already. Thanks for the feedback, man.

Succumbed to what I'll call NULD again (new unnecessary lumber day). 9 BF of 8/4 wenge. Enough to make 2 2 piece solid bodies. Or like 18 bookmatched tops. 100$. Great deal.

An interpretation of what my project might have been - had it not been a $1k body and had  I not found a screaming deal in the showcase for what I have. No regrets, but a very cool body nonetheless
