Anyone ever measured the frets on their new warmoth neck?

I have read on other forums that the frets that Warmoth uses are a bit smaller than advertised.

I had a 2008 Warmoth Mahogany neck that was supposed to have 6100 sized jumbo frets.
The frets on this neck seemed more like slightly larger medium jumbos rather than true 6100 big boys.
They definitely were not as large as other 6100 equipped guitars I have in the stable.

I am contemplating picking up a vintage modern boatneck with stainless 6100's.

I would hope that the frets would truly be as jumbo as warmoth lists the as.

To clarify...the warmoth jumbo's were still big...just not, well,.....big jumbo's... :tard:

I have 6100s on my warmoth neck and they seem HUGE to me. my fingers touch no wood at all. I cant imagine frets being much bigger. I have never felt bigger frets. that might not be saying much but they seem right on to what they are advertised. BIG haha

So, how did you like the 6100's?  Were they hard to play at first, until you got used to them?  :icon_scratch:
They advertise them to almost be like scallops...
I have almost ordered them twice and backed out at the last minute.

There are self-determined "acceptable tolerances" that fretwire manufacturers set for themselves. Besides these very slight variances, we have found over the last 20/30 years that they've been pretty accurate overall.  We consider the sizes that we state on our website accurate within the MFG tolerances. Do you have measurements of your frets against what it states on the Warmoth website?

I have 6100s on 2 Warmoths & they feel almost scalloped. These are some HUGE  frets. Infact, they're sometimes a wee too big for my tastes. I have a soloist with 6115 SS frets which I like better. Best of both world. Still big frets, but not like jumping hurdles.

ya they def are close to the scalloped feel for sure. I LOVE THEM. took some getting used to. most of it was developing a lighter touch.
