D.E.'s are awesome guns, but no good for carry. But very menacing and even deterrent to would be bad person. I personally have 2 Baby Eagle .40's. But carry my Kahr PM .45...

Not really :laughing7:

As I said, guns are not very easy to get here and I've never shoot one (buying legally, if you're bandit it's quite easy)

Coming from Sweden, buying a gun to carry around sounds so bizarre. Over here it's even illegal to carry a knife.
It's a good thing that there's no need to carry a gun around over here though.  :blob7:

Not 100% true, I think. Just looked on the site of the KNSA and they mention 42000 people practicing shooting sports. A large number probably shoot just air guns, but it IS possible to legally own and shoot a gun in the Netherlands.

you are probably right..
most gun owners probably would not carry them daily

it took me a while to understand the gun culture in Texas, but I certainly agree that it is a good thing to have more good people owning guns than bad people..
it is certainly the other way around in other countries..

Where's the little cap where ya fill that thing with water?
Maybe you should do some reading on it before you jest.... :icon_scratch:

I know what it is, what it does, what it does not do.  But it still looks like a goldarn squirt gun to me!

The thing with the Desert Eagle (aka .44 Mag-Matic), aside from huge size, is not its disability to be shot, but rather, when you close the slide, with its bolt, on an empty chamber it has a rather nasty habit of taking a bite out of your finger, or sometimes the heel of your hand, which has come to be known as Desert Eagle "bite".

.. but it's the weapon of choice if you're up against somebody with a vest It was designed with armor-piercing capablities in the specs list from the start on.
Problem is, the companion rifle is so compact that I don't really see the reason for the pistol.

FN P90

There 's a company who do armored transports just opposite from where I work, and their police escorts gear up just in front of my office window. Most of the time they have UZI's an FN HP's but for real high risk escorts they carry the P90 (and, I assume, the 5.7).

Those of us over age 50, may notice that thing looks a WHOLE LOT LIKE the jibbyjue they use to stick that thing up yer hinder when they do the "over 50" exam on ya.

I'm gonna have nightmares again..... thanks!~

Yes, I was not drawn to the Glock .45 ACP at first either.
I have my old trusty (but heavy when loaded) Springfield that I lugged around with me for YEARS.
I wanted something smaller but couldn't make up my mind.
Then I got to shoot a Glock and it loved it.
Double stack, light, and concealable.
Great to have when living close to the salt water too.
I have shot 10,000+ rounds down range with it and it's flawless.
If I had the cash, I would own every Glock model in .45 they make.
You know I wouldn't steer you wrong.
I know you have shot almost everything under the sun, but it's worth another look (IMHO).

Yeah, CB, I don't understand why you don't like the Glock.  I c/c a Glock 22, and I've never had issue with any of their guns.  They're very good machines.

CB, I found you your best possible option.  A personal cannon.  A TINY cannon.

The Sig and FN have double strike capability.  The FN can fire SA.... if they made a slightly smaller FN, the choice would be made!
