Offer us the details of this build. This so looks like a Gecko build I have been wanting to do.

So far it is flame koa from the unique choice section a on walnut body, and wenge neck with black ebony fingerboard I think the strips are bubinga. I ma making wood covers for the electronics rout and truss cover out of the strip of figured wood in one of the pics, I am not sure what the wood is. It has been routed for p4 shape pickups and I have a set of Delano sbc pickups with a delano pre amp on order( back ordered could take any where from 2 to 16 weeks). And I will be getting a Hipshot A style bridge.

Nice, but whats with the one fret? :laughing8:
I just like to play one note on 6 strings :laughing7:

There's been a lot of music made doing it on 4, why not?

There was a story on the old rec.music.makers.bass i think (remember news forums? If we had just called it social media we coulda been gazillionairs) of a bassist  who had to take a leak doing so while playing Gloria.  (Offstage, from the mebs room via wireless)

Oh ferchrissakes.  Flame koa is like porn shot by Sven Nyqvist starring Catherine Deneuve.  Which I think would be a pretty sexy thing.

Thanks to all, of course all the credit goes to Warmoth for such excellent workmanship! here are a couple more picks after taking advantage of three warm dry day to add tru oil, and shaping a rout cover.

and just for fun a sitar that I have in the shop getting the same treatment.

P.S. I plan on using magnets for the rout cover, any one know what weight adhesive magnets work best for this?

Sorry I missed that.
So the finish is done and I have put on the tuners and bridge and strung it up and done a basic set up but I am still waiting for the Delano pickupsand pre-amp that are on back order. It plays and sounds amazing acoustically I can say even without the pickups that this bass is exactly what I was hoping for. I will post a few more picks when I get home
