Welcome aboard. Your first parts are definitely handsome choices. Any plans for finishing? Clear, matte or gloss? Or maybe a tinted clearcoat? In any event - have fun. And Go Slow! No need to hurry anything. Far better to take your time and think through each step, rather than rush for the finished product. May you find joy in the challenge.

I'll be doing over the xmas break (at least starting) so hopefully will have most everything I need by then and a solid idea of what.

Orig idea was a barncaster roast ash with a roughed up grain and darkened down but that shifted. Orig was thinking satin but the korina is so nice, might need some darkening down to match the walnut better?

Neck will be satin I think but not 100% on that either!

Once you get a finish on the korina, you'll find it darkens quite a bit. And your walnut doesn't look like a terribly dark specimen.

Love that grain pattern. What wood did you use?

Well hello... Package 1 of 2 arrived... No neck as yet. Looking nice. The f hole pickguard isnt going to work with the 3 pickups, I made a mistake (didnt realise they'd cut the center pickup) .. But switching to some black pickup rings and putting a central pickup in , show more of the wood off anyhow :D

Nice! Congratulations on the deliveries. May you enjoy the process of assembly, and may you have the presence of mind to step away if something goes sideways, and think before trying to fix it.

So great! That neck in particular is so smooth, I like the little bit of light color in the fretboard. That is going to be a snazzy tele.
