Exciting Guitar Related drive to work this morning

So I'm driving on the side road from my house heading to the highway, and I see a vintage car up ahead that looks suspiciously like the Surf Green Strat I just completed. I got behind it and was hoping I might could get his attention, and he pulled into the huge gated house on the corner that I had seen a million times. I pulled up and yelled out the window if I could check out his car, probably scaring the hell out of him in my excitement. He was very cool and when I explained that I was building guitars in the vintage Fender colors inspired by cars of the 50's and 60's he was actually very intrigued. He said he was taking this car to a show this weekend, and I showed him some pics and offered to loan him the guitar to sit in the seat at the show. He thought it was a great idea. Who knows, this may open the door to a new business venture - after people at the shows see it they may want a guitar to match their car......

Nice!! Might just be the lighting, but the car looks a little like a Daphne Blue with yellowed clearcoat...

Gotta love a matching headstock, and it's cool to see surf green with the maple fretboard.

Very cool guitar and car. Also, as I read the post, I feel you have been being remiss or just modest, because you must have finally passed your drivers exam and are a licensed driver now! Congratulations to you Hagwood!!

Yeah, that pic is in shadows, but it is definitely a perfect Surf Green. I held y guitar photo up next to it. Gonna take it over there one night to offer to loan it for the car show, so I'll get a pic.....

I am doing Daphne Blue next though on a Jaguar !
