The guys at Emma has made some new pedal boards called "AmARHyll".
Here is the assembly video - made with loads of applied Danish humour ...

If you last all 10 minutes, maybe I'll tell you what an "AmARHyll" really is ...  :icon_biggrin:

More about it at:

Funny, and I was looking for a good pedal board, that might be the thing.

It's a play on the name "Amagerhylde" and it is a traditional little shelve. Amager is an island just outside of Copenhagen - where Kastrup the Copenhagen airport is. Hylde means shelve.

Like this:

I think all Danes has made one in wood works during elementary school.

All products from Emma has similar crazy name-plays - for some you have to understand Danish to really appreciate. Although "The Banjo Eliminator" speaks for itself ... right?

Well - more importantly the products are good quality.

Oh I'm going to Copenhagen tomorrow looking for work, including on Amager :)
I didn't take into account weird Danish pronunciation ;)

Good luck on your job hunt.

Weird pronunciation? Isn't that what we call Swedish? ;-)

Hey thanks! It went so-so in the end. Not much call for optometrists anywhere at the moment. Walked from Kph H about a km down Vesterbrogade, back again and all the way to the end of Ströget (with a detour to Nörrebro), and from there down to the Amagerbro centre via Slotsholmen (where I got very very lost, thinking I was already on Amager...). I was totally wiped out when I finally got home, but at least I got some exercise and introduced myself at a bunch of places.

Btw, when I first saw this thread I was thinking "amaryllis", the flower. Everyone here has at least one for christmas for some reason... :)

Sadly the recession has taken its toll on the amount of jobs. But you've been on a serious trip around Copenhagen I can understand and got the names down also.

Funny enough ... I came home today and my fiancé has put a Amaryllis in a Christmas decoration on the table. I found out when I googled the word  :icon_biggrin: It's called "De fire Verdenshjørner" or "Ridderstjerne" in Danish. Plants and flowers are not my speciality.

Somehow I only know the names on different kind of trees and woods. I wonder why that is.  :laughing7:

It's a mystery! :icon_biggrin: I actually understood you to be Danish, but maybe I got that wrong?

Re work I'm applying for one where I can basically be a know-it-all and get paid for it. Should be right up my alley...!
