I'm going to repeat. You placed the guitar in the hands of a person who is unfamiliar with Warmoth. Now, this person owns a very high quality instrument, which will most likely lead to this person to another build.
I say "Warmoth" and people think "kit guitar company." Yeah? Play one. Damned nice "kits," aren't they...
Short story here...One day I was at Guitar Sh*tter (Guitar Center) and I brought my Warmoth in to try out a head. They took note at the door I'd brought in a guitar and took down the description and everything.
When it came time to leave, they wanted to check my bag at the door, and then the guy started getting all accusatory like I stole this guitar. "I don't see anywhere on this guitar where it says Warmoth Custom." I responded with, "That's because it's a Warmoth. I had it built. That's my signature on the headstock." "Well, that's very nice, but it doesn't say 'Warmoth Custom' anywhere on this guitar." It lead to a threat to call the police and have me arrested for shoplifting. I said to him, "Are you accusing me of stealing? Go ahead, call the police. After you call the police, I'll kindly advise them I'm pressing charges against Guitar Center for falsely accusing me of stealing, and then not only will I own this guitar, but I'll own every damned guitar on your wall! Look at this guitar, and now look around this sh*thole. Do you really think you have anything here I'd want to walk off with when I own THIS?"
Well, "Mr. Man" was left speechless on the spot. I zipped up my gig bag and left. It's doubtful I'll be returning to that GC anytime soon.
Anyhoo, you know you have something special when you leave a store with over 100 guitars hanging on their wall of all makes and models, knowing you have the best one in the store.
