Thought I'd try my hand at a semi-hollow.  I kind of assumed it would be a lot harder to do than a solid-body guitar but turns out its actually much easier to route the electronics.  Just a lot more planning.

Anybody have any experience building a fully hollow Gretsch type guitar?  This is a good starting point but im sure much less complicated than a fully hollow.

Poplar.  I've built a few with poplar, inexpensive, easy to work with and easy to seal over.  Ugly wood though, don't use it unless Im sealing and painting.
