Can I polish the plate? Any Idea how to do this?

Ya Ron it can be polished, but it is a extremely daunting task. Especially on an item with sutch intracacy..To get a real mirror polish it would most likely have to be done wearing a jewlers loop, with a professional polisher wearing the loop... :icon_biggrin:

To start off the machine marks would have to be sanded out with a # 320 paper until machine marks are gone. Then using a 10 micron diamond paste and a small horse hair brush on a mini die grinder, followed by a 3 micron diamond paste and horse hair brush, then buffed out with a felt bob and polishing paste with said mini die grinder.... :doh:
