Made my first truss rod cover out of aluminum, gonna make a pile of them and take to a local anodizing shop and have them anodized black... :headbang1:

Good idea. But, the edges need beveling and the surface needs either brushing or polishing.

If it's a copy of the one used on AFTER BURNER, try moving the screw hole for the point a little closer to the tip. It barely cleared the truss rod groove in the neck. Warmoth's truss cover is a little bit longer.  :icon_thumright:

I'm not enamoured of necrophilia or demonology, and would prefer not having dead things on my guitars, so I'm too biased to judge. But, if you drew that, I'd say you've got a pretty good talent that should come in handy over your lifetime. You clearly have unusually well-developed hand-to-eye coordination, and are able to translate from your mind's eye as well, so you could do well in serious music.
