Charvel Pro Mod (MIJ) strat type

Some money?
I think you have not considered all ...
Ordering from Warmoth I have to add 85-90 dollars for shipping, PLUS tax (25% of total).
No possibility to pay that a Charvel ProMod San Dimas.

I've played a couple of the new Charvel San Dimas models. Very nice. Very playable. The sound was excellent of course because they're using good pickups.

and

The overall quality is great, and the two that I played were very well assembled and finished. I've also checked out three of the new Desolation series. Very nicely done also, and if I was in the market for a LP or VIP style guitar, I'd definitely consider one of them.

What do you think about FR tremolo installed on ProMod charvel guitar?
Think about having to change tremolo (or tremolo parts - block, saddle etc. - ) because made in poor quality materials is a problem for me, a sort of psychological insurmountable limit :p

Yeah - some money!  :icon_biggrin:

I consider that all the time as we are both in the EU. And in Denmark we end closer to 30% in customs and tax.

But still I would rather spend the last cash and get exactly what I want.

See only showcase pieces, to promote *your personal maths* :p
Body: alder body (charvel is a 2 piece), black finish: $ 285
Neck: q-sawn maple, (oil e wax on charvel but with 2 years warranty...):$ 197 + $ 45 (for Floyd prep. nut)
Pickguard H-H $25
So...$552,00 + $ 86 (ups express) = $ 638,00 (~480euro +21% I.V.A. + 4%dazio = TOT. 584Euro).
Plus:
- FR tremolo and nut,
- Duncan JB
- Duncan '59,
- grover tuners,
- cts 500K pot,
- screws, jack input, end pin,
- hard case (SKB with charvel).

In Italy, Charvel San Dimas with hard case *630Euro*

I advise you a quick refresher in math  :icon_biggrin: :icon_biggrin: :icon_biggrin:

It's the original FR with the standard block. I've never had a problem with the OFR either with setup, tone or playability. YMMV of course. Personally, I don't think you'll suffer from poor quality with any of the ProMods. Granted that they're not Warmoth quality, but for an off-the-shelf guitar, I was impressed.

The charvels are great guitars. I certainly want one in my collection. When I finish my moth its the next on my list.

First of all - the San Dimas is a rear route body so no pick guard. See? We're already saving money.  :sign13:

:glasses9:
I know of course, but there isn't alder body rear rout finished in showcase. The only one is in mahogany and... 332$
So...

And then I would rather go for a nice raw neck like a Pau Ferro/Ebony than maple.

and a carved KOA top?  :icon_biggrin:

That aside I still don't think that 200-300 euros extra - is more than "some money"  :toothy11: And I rather go for that. Both because I am a rich bastard (not really) but also a Warmoth snob (really!).

More difference, almost 400euro: in practice 70% more.
For you , 70% more it is the same price?

I not understand.
So what's the difference between OFR (made in Germany) and a FRT-O2000 made in Korea?

Personally, I don't think you'll suffer from poor quality with any of the ProMods.

My problem it's not a general quality of ProMOd but quality of FRT-O2000 made in Korea (and in FR webside I don't find it...unless both the *special*)
