I was hoping for some suggestions on cleaning a Les Paul Studio that has the rough "faded cherry" finish?
This isn't about polishing ( for looks ) but about keeping it feeling clean to the touch and protected.

Thank you!

Satin Deft lacquer on it, which is compatable... and it will build some depth and wear resistance while also offering protection, and not change the look in a huge way.

That's really good to know and I've filed that in my memory ... but I'm just talking about general care and cleaning.
The finish on it is fine as is. I'm just looking at the upcoming summer sweat removal etc.

microfiber cloth.  I think gibson finished those with a satin nitro...I will shine in worn areas over time.

Great! I'd never heard of these. Just ordered 2.
Is there any polish that you use?

Thanks

I would just use the cloth.  That finish does not really show prints.  Dust is its worst enemy.

If you need a good clean, the gibson polish works well.  I like the Martin stuff too.
