Can anyone get me a NAMM pass? I'll make it worth your while.

I really want to go.  I live close to Anaheim.  I'll do artwork or graphic design for you, or bring you some good home-cooked food (or maybe some home brewed cider or mead if we have some) at the show or something.  I can design you a label for your guitar or a business card... just let me know.  Thanks!

They're on special this month at Subway.  All depends on the operating hours of the nearest store I guess.

LOL!  Nah... I've been working for CMS Productions for over 10 years now a couple times a year.  Mostly I write product review articles for their magazines Christian Musician and Worship Musician.  (Please guys, no religious threads... They're subject to deletion.)  We're putting on a concert one evening and are running a training seminar on another day.  I'll be working those and scoping out new products.

Hannah I wish you had asked sooner I get passes every year. A friend of mine charges me $30 and usually has about 20 or so. He doesn't have any left but I can definitly get you one for all the years coming up. Incidently I believe this is the first year they are allowing the general public to buy tickets for Sunday. Sunday isn't the best day to go as alot of the vendors seem to leave on Sat but if it is cheap enough it should be worth it.

Lol.  I'm pretty sure I sent you a PM a month ago.  No worries though, I think I may have gotten it.  Just waiting to hear back.  All us UW forum folks should meet up.

Who else will be there?

I can be found in Hall E just a few steps inside the main doors at Booth 1306 most of the show (unless I'm on break or meeting with a prospective dealer)

stop on by and say hi when you get the chance :)

I foolishly thought last year that I'd be able to attend several post-show hangs ... but I have to admit that after a full day of talking with people I found myself with just enough energy remaining to grab a quick dinner and take a nap before working a midnight shift on an instrument or two that I wanted to have on the floor the following day. I hope to make a hang or two this year, but I'm a little more realistic about the differences between visiting the show and exhibiting at the show

all the best,

R

Haha, no worries.  Got it taken care of.

Yeah, the show can be pretty tiring.  I remember my feet and legs killing me by the end of the day since I think I sat down maybe twice all day all 4 days I went.

Here's a tip for free parking for anyone who is driving: park at Downtown Disney, walk to the convention center (it's like a 10 minute walk), and then since you have to eat anyways, have dinner or lunch at Downtown Disney so you can get your parking validated.  I paid for parking once and ended up walking waaaay further than I would have if I had just parked at Downtown Disney for free.  They have a few pretty good restaurants over there.  I usually eat at House of Blues or The Grand Californian Hotel.  Plus there is an amazing huge Lego store that is worth visiting if you like Legos or have kids that have birthdays coming up.

I'll be the red headed chick ogling all the guitars in a Millennium Falcon tee shirt.  That might narrow it down to 10 people considering how packed that show gets.  Maybe I'll stick something on my badge so you know it's me.

Last time I went to the show, I met Joe Coffey, one of the main editors from Premier Guitar.  That was cool because that's the only guitar magazine I really like.  He was a nice guy so I talked to him for a while.  I ended up emailing him and another one of the editors a couple of times about stuff that would be nice to see addressed in the magazine, and they were very receptive and took time to write thoughtful replies back to me.  I met Bob Taylor too, but I think he thought I was weird because I was actually kind of excited and nervous to meet him.

I'm looking forward to stuff like that again this time!  I think this show will be more fun than last time actually because I know a lot more about guitars now than I used to.

I'll be there too. Hannaugh's got a guitar of mine that needs assembling. Gotta shoe off those silver zephyr pickups.
