Billy Bo project

I was reading an interveiw that Billy gave to some guitar mag. and he said they took the bridge pickup upart and had it rewound to the exact specks of his Pearly Gates bridge pickup. If your looking for his sound stock TV Jones' ain't gonna cut it. But what ever you get this is going to be one cool guitar.

Ya, I to had read that he had the original pups replaced with some special wound Jones'. Imma try the Loudmouths, ordered them last night, gonna get the neck ordered Mon. Body should be here within the next week. Still gotta get tuners and pots and toggle switch, and a set of the "G" knobs... :icon_biggrin:

Well, I made another change. Got an original "G" tail piece to go on Billy Bo instead, just to keep it closer to the real thing.... :headbang:

Thanks Luke,  it's not often that pau has such nice figuring...I was really struggling with this one, there was a civil war inside the country of Doug. I wanted ziricote, but this board just reached out and grabbed me... :icon_biggrin:

BTW, I'd hang on til you could afford the TV Jones pickups - they've been proven to have the great Gretsch tone.

Gotta respectfully disagree.  It often has nice figuring.  That's usually the giveaway it isn't Rosewood.
