Agreed, the very ending went a bit american, but overall the last season of BSG was absolutely amazing. The show went from above average sci-fi/space opera to real allegocial science fiction in its last two seasons. Even though the pro-military sentiments got a bit silly at times, the characterisation was always very advanced for a television series.

I like Hannah's idea.... it would've been better if they landed on a planet ruled by apes, or maybe mutants armed with nuclear bombs, or maybe robots or venusian brain eaters, or a planet ruled by a nuclear armed mutant ape brain eating robot.  Good grief, what does this have to do with guitars ...

Just watch Caprica last night.  It is the prequal to BSG.  It takes place 58 years prior to the fall.  It is a must for BSG fans.  It lays the entire foundation for the beginning og the cylon race.  Excellent viewing.

It sounds like a bad idea, but I'll give it a try when I get the chance. Obviously they made damn sure the first storyline came to an end, but jumping on the prequel bandwagon feels less than fresh.

i thought caprica was very promising!

at first i though it was going to be a bit caprica 90210 but they sorted that out nicely!


it wasnt perfect  but i can see a good couple of series in it - maybe not 4.  although i probably said the same about BSG after the pilot - and then look what they did at the end of series 2.  These guys know how to make good TV so its worth putting some trust in them.

I am still not sure about the end of BSG, but i am not sure how else you could tie everything up so finally - it was never going to please everyone.  I am just glad it wasnt all a bloody dream!
