Take this from someone who know firsthand....... Bashing Warmoth on this forum will only get you banned.
But honestly, did you order your custom body with buff through or a 'relic' finish?
If you are unhappy with their work, let them know and send it back.
I am from the school of thought that for the kind of money they charge, this shouldn't be an issue. If you are unhappy, they should make it right. Your money was perfect when you paid them, why isn't your guitar when you received it?
I don't think it's bullsh-- to complain about this problem. You wanted perfect, and they failed to meet your expectations. Simply put.
I think you are stuck with it. A couple of turtle employees have chimed in and said they don't see anything wrong with the body, so I don't think they are going to help.
That being said, these are my opinions, and I would appreciate not being banned for stating them. Warmoth guitar products normally does top notch work and has excellent customer service. They have never done ME wrong. That being said, I don't think you would have been this upset if there was a disclaimer stating that sometimes buff through happens. It's the suprise that you get when you open the box. With custom work, there shouldn't be suprises, it should be exactly what you specified when you ordered, with no flaws regardless if the pickguard or shielding tape covers it or not.
