Anybody else Freq'ing Out?

Got mine in the mail yesterday.
Hooked it up, fired it up, and the dry on/off switch doesn't work, stuck in "off" position, so I had to begin the process of returning it for a full refund.

Waiting in anticipation all over again, but I certainly won't be using it for rehearsal on this Thursday or at church on Sunday.

Still, you must have gotten some idea of how it behaves. What did you think?

After I got mine I ordered two more, gifts for dad and for a friend; all of them arrived with the dry "off". Struck me as odd, I would think the default setting for that would be "on". Sorry to hear about the component failure, even with all the hubbub on the interwebs it's the first out-of-the-box failure I've heard about. I hope they take care of you quick-like!

The gradual transition into feedback seems more natural from what little I could tell of it being stuck in wet mode.
Compared to the BOSS FB-2, it doesn't seem to contain the unpleasant artifacts that the Boss unit has when you get towards the end of the feedback cycle, i.e.; that lil snarly sound like you have a wah-pedal half cocked before nasty noise that sounds nothing like a real guitar & amp.

I do like the idea of the individual switch for momentary/latching as opposed to the BOSS unit having to be pressed & held there for the feedback function of it, otherwise, the Boss unit is just a boost pedal with a variable mid control.  The Digitech seems far more natural, and I just because I want feedback doesn't necessarily mean that I want a boost pedal under the same hood.  This is one of the things that appealed to be about the Digitech unit.

At least then, I have the option of using momentary to accent certain lead notes, or sustained chords going into feedback, or not.  I can leave the pedal in mode to mimic the natural reaction of a guitar to an amp cab, or leave it alone entirely.  True Bypass doesn't hurt either, especially since it's the first unit in the signal chain after the wireless.

Got my new one from Sweetwater today, and I love it!

There's still definitely an artifact if you push it all the way to the end of the cycle, but once you find the sweet spot, you can either leave it on all the time, or use the momentary function to use it selectively.

Is it a Sustainiac or Fernandes Sustainer.  Not quite, but it's leaps & bounds more functional than the BOSS FB-2.

I've run it through the paces in just dry crunch like a rhythm guitar setting ala Malcolm & Angus, and I've tried the Ted Nugent & Satriani feedback tricks with it, and I think it's quite useful for this.

Especially considering that I use a POD HD500X & In-Ears, so it's just gonna give me more of that guitar/amp interaction vibe in my context.

I'm glad that's finally working out for you. Good thing, too, because you'd never get any feedback from in-ears  :laughing7:
