Any drawbacks to warhead headstock?

I am about to pull the trigger on a superwide fatback neck (my second) for a fender american standard telecaster. I have a strat superwide fatback on my squier classic vibes stratocaster. Fits my big hands very well. All that said, I am thinking about getting a warhead instead of a strat neck. I kind of like the design and I guess I am also a fan of Warmoth products. Are there any drawbacks to the warhead headstock vs. strat headstock? Function? Resale? Anything?

I think it's a bonus, as it clearly demarcates your guitar as being (at least potentially!) a high-end custom axe.
Warmoth has a LONG and distinctive history of supplying parts for some of the best custom builders on the planet.
And it's not all that dissimilar to a Sadowsky or Suhr headstock design, right? IMHO the Warmoth Warhead is more stylish than either of those... :)

I’ve been getting warheads as I think it’s the best non-Fender shape on the market and I’m proud of it being a Warmoth. I guarantee the resale is less through.

I don't hate it. I might even rock it if something i really wanted showed in in screaming deals with it. But it doesn't turn me on. I have mental picture of how it was decided. Okay we have 300 necks we can't ship with a lic headstock now .. what are we gonna do?? No 237 companies did that with their strat headstocks and we can't accidentally duplicate them either.

Nope, no drawbacks ... only good things.
Resale shouldn't enter into the making of a partscaster, but I'll say if you buy a warmoth neck with a warhead headstock you'll be the most popular / coolest kid on the block. The fans will adore you. Guaranteed!

builds? nobody. But I have a stack of unused parts I need to do something with
'Not exactly sure what that means.
ALL electric guitars are built with parts. All of them. The fact that someone other than myself (Warmoth) carves the bodies and necks just means that my guitars are built by more than one person (since I'm not a luthier, nor do I own CNC machinery). My previous question was motivated by the fact that I occasionally see someone refer to "resale value" of Warmoth guitars, which is such an irrelevant issue. People generally build these guitars (or others) because they want something custom to their personal taste; something that cannot be bought from a guitar retailer, and because they have the basic skills to put it all together themselves (or maybe with help from a friend). They are made with all the same kinds of "parts" that Fender guitars (and countless other brands) are made of. I find it silly that some people refer to these guitars as "parts guitars" or "partscasters" as if to diminish their value compared to corporate factory production line built guitars. It's not cheap Chinese crap. It's top quality bodies & necks that rival anything else out there. Yes, some inexperienced people will do a terrble job of assembly, but plenty of others will do an excellent job.
