Tried a Ebony ..... nope, tried a Wenge .... nope tried a Rosewood .... nope

I do fully know what you mean, by both being very busy pieces.

Jeez, now I feel like a jerk. I think your guitar is freakin' awesome, Updown. I think the two pieces go together very nicely. I was just talking about my particular piece of wood in my previous post. The quilt/ziricote that I was going to combine don't work together, but I wasn't trying to imply anything about yours.. Can't wait to see what you do next!

Well my 1st guitar (After getting back into music) was a Black Squire Strat, affinity, I think they called it. (just a cheapy) … Traded that in ages ago.
Plus added around the same time
a Squire Bass  … still have
a Gibo LP Standard 2007 model ….. still have

Then stupid bloody idiot me  :doh:  bought a Gibo DarkFire (that's since been traded in too) …
The DF could drive my VG-99 with a 13pin plug.
That's when I got the idea or more to the point found Warmoth.  :toothy10:
Decided to build my own with some GK-3's installed.
All of my Warmoth builds are in the finished section.
Got a Tele to put a GK-3 in and a Areodyne strat body, floating around here somewhere.

Had a Gibo 61' S G Reissue (got rid of that too) didn't use it after building Yella Terra.
Anyway the buggers made it out of 2 piece  :tard:  when I'm pretty sure the original 61' was 1 piece  :dontknow:

Think these are in order.
I've even made these images, into icons, so as I can load them into Logic Pro.  :icon_biggrin:

A Warmoth  :icon_biggrin:  I love them all.

Both the Flame Strat's ones hang on a wall, so they are easy to grab at any time.

Obviously the GK-3 13pin equipped guitars when using VG-99 and the GR-55

Obviously the Squire Bass, when playing bass. As it's the only Bass I have.

:icon_scratch:  Other wise the real go to guitars, in no particular order (depends on what sound I'm after)
Black Quilt Strat
Metallic Tobacco Burst Strat
Alpine White Strat
Yella Terra S G
Exotic Custom, Tele
Tobacco Burst Tele

The least used are the Firebird, Blue Strat.

Honestly, I don't think i've played my Gibo LP since building the Warmoths

I believe I detect a hint of sarcasm in that comment, so, in the spirit of full disclosure, I must admit that I've been working on a strat that's gonna be, in part, dyed PINK! Just so you know,
I'm secure enough in my manhood that I'm not afraid to let my "feminine side" come out and

I've got a pink guitar:



Kind of wish it wasn't pink, but it doesn't stop me playing it. Nothing against the femininity--in fact I just built a Tele with femininity specifically in mind--but it's just not that nice of a pink. Technically it's my wife's guitar (although she plays about 4 hours a year). It rocks too hard to leave it untouched all the time though.
