Aluminum strat project

Even overcast skies provide much better lighting than you can hope for indoors without a lotta money/gear. It might look dreary to you, but the camera will love it and you won't get harsh shadows/highlights. Autofocus and auto exposure/shutter will all work better, so you get sharper pics with more detail. Even camera phones can return good results when shot outdoors.

Me too!!!! It's pretty freakin' awesome, it's quite a bit darker in person. It's hard to get good pics, plus I'm not very good at photography...  :dontknow:

:blob7: ...............  :headbang:

Perfect !!
Love the line up to the top horn.

:dontknow:  Kind-of looks like you have ridden your bike across it  :laughing7:

Yesterday I was reading a magazine and found out about these - all called Excalibur. Not sure if you care or not...
I've seen those before, but not anything about them call out Excalibur to me.. The reason I used Excalibur for mine is because it's shinny like a knights armour. And when I think of armour, I think of King Arthur and Excalibur... :icon_biggrin:

Yip, one of my favorite movies, and there were some references to it on page 1 & 2.... :laughing7:

I just meant that, if Vigier are already making a model of guitar called an "Excalibur", then you putting it on your guitar is a bit like putting "Telecaster" on it (but less obvious).

It is an excellent name. It's just inappropriate here. But, it's the X that makes it attractive. It's a little-used letter, so it implies a unique quality or some level of exclusivity. If it weren't so wildly over-used, I'd suggest "Extreme". You could use "Ex-wife", but who needs that association? Then there's "Excellent", but you don't want to sound like Bill & Ted's moronic adventure. Of course, there's always "Excruciating", but I don't think that applies. "Extra" is just a marketing weenie word, so that's unacceptable. Besides, it hardly qualifies as a noun no matter how you spin it.

I think you're going to have to name it Percival, or perhaps Herkimer. Maybe even Giuseppe. Pete? Ralph? Bitch? If it was me, I think I'd call it "The Aluminum Strat".

You forgot, Expensive...lol

Exiguous? Expeditious? Expunge? Exchequer? Or how about Ex officio, for the Latin lovers out there? Naw, those aren't very good names at all...

Cool guitar though. :icon_biggrin:

"Excalibur" as the personal name of an individual guitar seems OK to me, but - the question arises, what use does the name have? You can get a cape and leap around yelling "Fear the Might of Excalibur!"... mmm. Need some Yngwie licks to go with it, read bit all the here it on "Gitar Blog":

It's a great site, under "Gymnastics Knuckles" I found the all important tip:

speed should not exceed the ability finger when the finger cramps rest your mother first.

Absolutely! :party07:
