Alternatives to Mineral Spirits and Naptha?

Hello! I've got a raw alder body that I would like to paint using this kit:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0D9516H47/ref=ewc_pr_img_1?smid=A1HZVFPLV1FAXN&th=1

I was advised by Didspade's customer service to avoid using any oil based cleaners like naptha or mineral spirits to clean the wood after sanding, because it will react with their paint. I'm a noobie to this and I was wondering if anyone could advise me on any non oil based cleaners that I can use. I've watched lots of how to's on finishing a guitar and nearly everyone has used naptha. I'm also wondering if I should still seal the wood with a water based sealer? I believe that their black 2k epoxy in the kit will function as a sealer, but I'm not sure.

Any advice on using this kit is much appreciated.

Looks like something for metal, not wood .... Did you ask them how this works with wood, what kind of cleaner to use, and what kind of sealer they would recommend? Pretty sure you'll need to entomb the wood in something before spay painting. Most reputable manufacturers will gladly assist you. Let us know what they say, because the paint looks pretty.

I’m no finishing pro, but I’d use Naptha to clean, then shellac it. Basically anything sticks to shellac. And shellac has no issue with naptha as a cleaner.
