Well, use your imagination a bit....

.... factor in a clear finish ash body, f hole, black pickguard, and one piece goncalo alves fat back neck with stainless frets.
That's almost all the hardware.  They backordered the F neck plate and strap buttons, which oughta be in by the end of next week.  Ditto the body and pick guard.  Neck, you know how that goes, up to a month or so.

That's a fine start. Getting all the doodads can take some time. You have that out of the way already. :icon_thumright:

Nice collection of pieces. I am not particularly patient but I actually like the process of choosing components and gathering them as I order. I'd like to hear your thought on the neck after you get it all together.

On the fence regarding a Bixby B5....  The only Bixby I had was on a ES-333, and that had no hold down bar, and was smooth as the inside of your girlfriends thigh.  With that hold down bar... I dunno.  To get "that feel", I might have to shim the neck a little, and eliminate the hold down bar.  And yah, I know.... I can do the B16, but that has a huge shim angle, plus the B16 looks like its an escapee from a ca. 1910 gynecological surgeons repertoire.

If you do decide on a Bigsby B-5, make sure it's a B-5 and not a B-50 or B-500. The B-5 has bearings on the main shaft and the B-50 has bushings. I think the B-500 has bushings, too.

Also, get one of the cut-down bridges that allow the strings lower access for the Bigsby.

I like the look of the Bixby on a Telecaster and considered on for my build. Was scared off by all of the possible binding string comments. I'm using a Stetsbar Pro II for Telecaster on my Tele build. I didn't have to do any mods to the body and the thing looks really nice.

Only B5, I know the differences.  Not the least of which is the larger shaft on the hold down bar on the "licensed" models.  The original has a smaller shaft, which in turn... allows a smaller roller, which in turn, allows strings passing under the roller to be a little higher.  As for the bridge, I got one, a Fender with the brass "intonated" saddles, and got the skills to pay the bills to do a creditable job of notching it.  I can always add it later I guess

That you can. It's an easy thing to add later on. I must say, I do like the feel of a Bigsby. My very first guitar was a Tele (copy) with a Bigsby (probably a copy, too) on it. It was a lot of fun.

I finally got started with arduous assembly.  Getting the very hardest item done and over with first, will make the rest of the assembly seem much easier.....

I like that jack plate.  Never seen one like it before, and available on www.guitarelectronics.com  Not too pricey either.

Tomorrow is going to be like Christmas. The thinline body will be arriving. The second order of pickups will be arriving. The last of my hardware will be arriving.

I can get everything together except the neck on the body and the tuners and hold down on the neck.

That's the good news. The bad news is I'm going to be out of town in Daytona Beach all weekend which is also good but the parts sitting on my bench will no doubt be very lonely.

Ho, ho, ho! Merry "Christmas-in-May"!

Ho ho ho?  How did you find out about those morally delinquent female individuals in Daytona?
Ah..Daytona and 30 years ago :occasion14:Well if you can't be at home with the build might as well be in Daytona. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product.

If you know Daytona my friend has a house one block south of main Street a few blocks west of Atlantic.  Which basically means I can walk or crawl to and from any bar in town, including Danny's which is the hidden bar for locals only where the drinks are only $2 beers and $3 mixed drinks.  Of course the beach is only a three minute walk away.  As also is all the shopping I could ever want.

Thin line body arrived today.  The second set of nocaster pickups read totally different.  7.5k neck 7.8k bridge.

Kudos to warmoth for they are subtle improvements in the way they package bodies... Or at least thinline bodies.  I see a bit more padding a bit better packaging then was offered 10 years ago.

North of Orlando check out  Brandee at Club Juana in Casselberry!

no I am deeply embedded in Florida swamp land to the extreme South.

But I know Central Florida well

I think Club Juana is out of business, but... here's the Thinline

Just mounted the controls onto the pickguard as a temporary thing.  No blade/lever, but a LP style in the back, so its vol, tone, toggle.  Dunno if the toggle gonna be up down, front back or some angle yet.
